Ok heres the deal. just put on the lex afm with custom adjustable screw. fuel is set to stock psi with the walbro. i have a upgraded ct-26 60-1 set to 15psi holding all of the way through revvs. i also have 3in exaust turbo back with stock elbow and custom 2.5in ic piping. NOW my question is why am i dropping in power when i am hitting about 6grand. also it doesnt feel like i have gained muck more hp over the stock 440s. do i need to open the adjustment screw on th afm more because i have it set about a quarter the way open or add more boost. please help! its got me head scratchin. also i want to do this without havin to spend $700 on a safc. lookin for about 350 to 380 at the wheels.

i believe the stock ecu pulls timing after 56-5700 rpms, however i havent watched the timing advance/retard on a dyno so ill leave this as "i was told".
Safc's arent $700 either.

YOUR LOOSING POWER DUE TO RUNNING REALY RICH! You also need a wideband with that set up. You have to pay to play! Good luck and keep us posted.

In order to control the fuel delivery efficiently at open loop, you'll need some sort of piggy back fuel control and get it tuned. A A/F gauge would be a handy thing to have as well if you'd like to keep your pistons in one piece in the cylinders.

The stock ECU can control the 550's effectively in closed loop operation, but because of the lies and slander the lexAFM give the ECU, it can't do precise fuel adjustments to create the 'perfect' power band in open loop.

Get a piggy back management and get it tuned by someone who knows some shit about it... or suffer the wrath of the 7M.

well im gonna say the same thing that everybody else is saying, you need a piggy back fuel controller, ie., SAFC. So you know what to change on the SAFC you'll need a wideband with a display or better yet a data logger.

my set up for example,
2jz gte (aristo)
USDM 550 injectors
Zeitronics ZT-2 wideband
Apex'i SAFC II

i plug my laptop into the wideband and log data while doing 3rd or 4th gear pulls. adjust accordingly and viola, a decent tune.

i ust got the SAFC I. But i here you can get a way better tune out of the SAFC II because it has more tuning points. Do you think i should sell the SAFC I, and get a II?

Well if you feel almost no difference between a stock turbo with upped boost and a 60-1 on 15psi then something else is wrong besides you running really rich.
I would toss out the stock super-restrictive elbow for a full 3" aftermarket elbow.
Trust me, you'll go from fairly fast to "whhhhooooo shiiiiiiitt"

But before you do that, indeed get a wideband meter and a fuel tuning device. the latter go second hand for some 300$ on here.

FYI you won't go any faster when you upgrade to lexafm+550cc. It's just for upping the fuel cut. Also that's why changing the lexafm screw won't help you gain top-end power.
