Hi, I'm putting in one of those ebay downpipes and I need to take off the stock downpipe. The bolts on the stock cat are a royal pain in the ass. They're rusted and corroded to shit. I cannot take them off using a regular socket and ratchet. A breaker bar is not an option because the car isnt on a lift or jackstands.
I've had experience with PB blaster but im not sure if it will work with these bolts. I'm about to dremel them off. If i decide to, what type of bolts should I buy? Any ideas on how to get these things off? THANKS!

I say cut them. Or are you going to bolt the new downpipe to the stock cat back?

Yea, bolting the new DP to the stock catback. Is this not a good idea? The reason I bought this DP is because the stock flex section ripped.

Take it to a small mom and pop muffler shop. You are taking a small chance, but in my experience they will bend the rules before a chain store.

Yes, putting a downpipe on will help performance. Get a good turbo exhaust when you can too.
