Now I can't wait for the track. These, plus boost by gear, 100 more WHP's, and antilag should hopefully get me lower than 13.9 @ 124 :nono:

Looks good, those will help I'm sure. It also looks like you just need more seat time to figure out the car if you are running mid 13's and 120+ mph.

I have done 12.2 @119mph with 235/40 18 Kumho SPT's a few times. Was only able to get a 1.9 60' though, I'm sure those new tires of yours will get you better than that.

Good luck!

Jeremy

So I actually did end up going to the track tonight. Second time ever. My best was 11.9 @ 120. Not quite sure why my MPH went down but I'm pretty happy.

weather maybe? clutch? I know I went to the track ran 12.6 @ 113 on street tires, went back with radials and went 12.4 @ 111 but my clutch wasn't holding the launch (only a 1.98 60' :( ) and was slipping a tad on the top end, I just didn't realize it. Put and old used spec stage 3 in while I RMA'd the first one (didn't try radials again) but was back to 113-114 mph.

Not too bad, what was your 60'

thanks guys.. DOH', Justin.. the car was breaking up really bad past 6K RPM's. I was shifting a LOT earlier than normal. Hence the lower MPH. I'm an idiot.

Thenewred- I go to Richmond. Maybe we can meet up while your in town.

60' was 1.70 I believe.. I'll post up the slip :)

u will find the drop in mph is more due to the rolling diameter change in rubber.

i ran 118 on normal street tyres yet 115 on mt et raidials

Good job.:icon_bigg Dollar for dollar, you must have one of the quickest Supras ever. What caused the high end break-up? Not including parts that you couldn't use or have replaced, what has your current set-up cost?

Thanks,
Tuning the car myself helps with saving money because I have many, many hours of tuning time in this setup.

The high RPM break up was caused by the plugs, I'm sure. I recenty swapped out plugs, and wasn't 100% sure what I gapped the old ones to. The other night I took out the plugs and checked the gap, they were .028. I believe I had a brain fart and meant to gap them to .026. Since them I've re-gapped them and that should take care of the breakup I was having.

As far as cost of the total setup, pretty pricey.. I payed more for the clutch than I payed for the car. I'd get out of this car for $10K right now, which I think would be a pretty good deal for someone.

So, how much did the clutch cost? I'm looking at a HPF feramic clutch with an ACT PP.

roughly $2500 + a push/pull convertor. Had I not wanted to street drive this thing on any backroads I would have put money towards a decent GM auto setup.

Just a question, how come you decided to go with 17" wheels for drag instead of something a little smaller like a 16" or 15"?
