okay my datsun is running rich as ****. Mostly while idling. It fouls plugs within minutes of running and doesnt like to start right away. Everything is stock except the turbo. It has a brand new water temp sensor (ecu side) which i thought the connection to it was the issue but i soldered in another pigtail and it is still running below 10.0 AFR. I tried to fix it by installing a SAFC 2 but even at -50% adjustment it doesnt change a thing. I did notice that the TPS (2jzgte tps since i'm running a 2jzgte instake manifold welded onto ge lower runners) is ready 100% when connected at 0 throttle and 0% at full throttle so this may be reversed wires in which i wouldnt know which ones they would be. I will try another tps later on but i'm also thinking it may be a faulty afm if the safc isnt making any difference?

Any ideas guys?

This is about 20 minutes of idle time. Im sure my neighbors love me!

all is zeroed out, found out the tps issue with the safc since it tells me the % throttle.

what would u bet the culprit would be? tps or afm?

I switched Tps and afm. I set the setting on the safc to read the other way and it only reads 0 to 100% respectively but nothing in between. Even for shits and giggles I installed an fcon to see if it would change afr readings or make the car run differently but nothing.

What am I missing here????

Codes 51, 22, 31, 41

Tried a different afm, switched to Vpc even. Tried a diff tps sensor, water temp is new and I tried disconnecting and also using a resistor .

Okay so I checked continuity. The black* wire has continuity with ground. The green wire didn't have continuity to the plug going into the ecu only until it was plugged into the ecu was it giving me continuity. Which I found weird. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just running a wire directly to see if that works. Any ideas?

Don't plug it into the ecu for continuity check. Otherwise the ecu can fool you into thinking there's continuity because of internal circuit paths to ground.

If when unplugged the test shows no continuity then that should be fixed.

ah ha, that makes sense. Okay i will run a separate wire to see if that fixes the issue. Thanks bud!
