I just got my engine running last weekend but its running really rich...i dont really have time to mess w it that much but here is what i've came up so far:
Car starts up and idles pig rich.It eventualy stalls after 20 seconds running. If i give it gas it completely chokes and stalls. At first i was running no IC pipes but i got them done last nite and still same problem.I could of fouled out the plugs but it doesnt feel like its missing, just runs pig rich.I pulled a couple plugs and they are black. The pistons are soaked in gas.
NO CODES IN MY SUPER MONITOR
I figured the cold start injector was stuck open so i plugged the fuel rail but no differance so cold start is rulled out.
I tested the afm today and all my resistances are high and out of spec except the IAT circuit which was 2k ohms at 78 degrees.a little off but Manual says 2-3k ohms at 68 degrees is normal.
the thing is the AFM was functioning completely normal before i pulled everything, and i have gotten burned using ohming to diagnose stuff before.I dont see how an AFM can go bad sitting on a shelf for 8 months?I dont have a filter on it now, but that should not make a difference?
I have the DM AFPR kit and a fuel dampener bypass line.I have the fuel pressure at aprox. 35 psi now.Stock fuel pump, for now, havent installed my Walbro yet.
I havent messed with the CPS to time it yet, i cant really get it running long enough to.
This is an 87 7mgte motor and harness in an 88 N/A body.I swapped out the inginter and HAC sensor from the 87.
