Here a couple months ago, finished installing my 7mgte in my 85 mk2. Man it really flies. Definite Horsepower increase. Got it painted as well. Everything runs smooth, of course the nice sound of the HKS SSQV is beautiful between shifts. Only thing that you could say that's a little off the the valve tapping, which is common on the ol hydraulic lifters. BOOST is great :evil2:

We've got solid lifters with shim adjustment in our valvetrain, so you could check your clearances and make sure you're running within spec. Make sure it's actually the valvetrain that's making the noise before you do that though. Take a stethescope and listen to the top end a bit, then listen to the injectors. I've had many people mistake injector noise for valvetrain noise on my own car.
