I work at Waldenbooks, and we are doing a charity drive for the Ronald McDonald House. Nothing major, no huge monetary donations needed, we are just asking for book donations to help out. And keep in mind - it's not just the kids there, but their families, too. So any book is helpful.
You can go to any Waldenbooks or Borders Books (www.bordersstores.com will let you look up stores in your area), purchase a book (it can even be the cheap bargain books for like $3 or $4), and donate it. It doesn't have to be as extravagant as the woman who came in yesterday and spent $100 on the ENTIRE Harry Potter series, but every little thing helps.
Our store has been doing very well, but I know a lot of other stores could use some help. Not to mention the publicity.
