There's a lot of experienced chassis fab. guys on here...so I want to know if anyone has any tips for me. I picked up a 4 point w/ a harness bar for my civic since I have been doing a lot of autox and it is a free mod. I am welding in the footing plates rather than bolting. It's mild steel 1/8" wall 1 1/2" tubing, and I am using a matco MIG with argon. I have 3 years welding experience.
Also, how thick do the footing plates need to be if welded in? 1/8th or 1/4th inch?
