reuse gaskets?

okay, i just did a HG repair, and have encountered many problems. but the head is garbage, and am replacing the head. the motor has been through 6 heat cycles and about 30 miles since the rebuild and new HG and gaskets all around.

its a Fel Pro Permatorque gasket set.

heres the head gasket

am i still able to reuse the gaskets i replaced?

and am thinkin of just going MHG because i acquired a lapping block since the rebuild.

You cannot reuse OEM/graphite head gaskets. You can probably reuse the other gaskets if they're not damaged.

Only MLS head gaskets can be reused.

can i switch out the valve seals?
becuase they are brand new. and put them in the new head

And, an MHG can only be reused if the old viton coating is stripped off...you have to use copper spray (between layers too) as a replacement.

I would be leery reusing any paper gaskets.

I would have a valve job done on the new head...including the seals.
