I've loved the MK III supras since I was a kid and finally got the chance to buy one. A white 1986.5 that was sitting for over two years. The body and interior were in good condition but it didn't run so I went ahead and ordered a JDM engine for it and installed it with the help of a friend who is ASE certified and used to be the head mechanic at a local Toyota dealership here in OK.
Then it got interesting...for some unknown reason the car will crank but won't spark. The distributor and coil test good, and we just replaced the ignitor. We double-checked the grounding wires but it still doesn't spark. If anybody has run into this problem before and could point me in the right direction on diagnosing and fixing this problem so I can get my baby running I'd greatly appreciate it!
