I'm swapping out my "toyota" badge on my front grill. Anyone have any experience on it? It is literally -30 degrees outside, so I would like to minimize my tinkering and trial/error on it as much as possible. Is there a trick to taking it off? Does the side blinker need to come off? Should i remove the entire grill piece and then take the badge off or leave the grill in place and some how get behind it? thanks in advance.
On the 89+, there is one screw holding in a stopper on the back side of the grill. The screw has to be gotten from the back side, so pop the hood. Once you find a screwdriver to get the screw out from the odd space its in, you can just pop the grill out by gently pulling and fiddlin' on the side toward the middle of the car.
There is no need to remove the turn signal. While the grill is off, you will be able to see one of the two screws that holds the signal on, just for future reference. The other one is already visable.
Then the badge is held on by two screws.
