Removing intake manifold w/ motor in car....

I'm going to have to do this to change my oil filter relo-kit setup, as it's leaking and driving me fucking crazy. I just want to remove the upper plenum, but am looking for tips, or advice on how to best get it done w/o pulling the motor.

I tried searching and didn't really come up with anything so, figured I'd ask.

Get an extension and a 12mm. Its an easy job.

if its anything like the 2j intake mani, have fum, you will be there for a while. swivel heads are key.

it's very simple, theres about 6-7 bolts, their 12mm. I just used a short 12mm with a extension for some and deep socket 12mm for the others and that's it.

Thanks for the replies, I'll be giving it a shot the next time I have a couple days off from work...whenever that it is.

I've taken it off twice in the car. A straight extension, and a 12mm socket are all you need.

Yeah, its not hard at all. maybe 30 minutes tops? Taking your time with it..

since your there, you could always replace all the old silicone hoses running in that area. some 4mm, 6mm, and little bit of 8mm.

Yeah I'm planning on getting a lot done while I'm there, cleaning up wiring, replacing hoses, I've made a list.
