Removing Instrument Panel???

Im going to be soldering new resistors onto my NA tach to make it work for my GTE, and I couldnt find any writeups here on the forums and checked the online Repair Manual and no luck there either. Has anyone converted their NA tach for the GTE? Is there any writeups on removing the instrument panel to get to the tach? Im just looking for the easiest route to take so I dont end up breaking any plastic clips(which Im sure I will run into). Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. Thanks

start off with #6 (but don't forget to unscrew one screw from #5b) and next page. Very easy actually, no clips, but be little careful when you try to pull it out (pull directly at first, cause you maybe can damage the speedo cable). Just do it And Good Luck.

start off with #7 and next page, shows how to remove.. very easy actually.

I wouldve never guessed it to be under the section for "safety pad". I was really shocked when I seen that I couldnt find it in the TSRM. But thanks a million.
