The starter on my 1991 Cressida went out this week at three years and three months from date of purchase from NAPA. After being told the warranty was expired, that the price had gone from $129 to $169 and that there would be shipping charges, I picked the starter from the counter and went to AutoZone. Autozones price for the starter was $129 with no shipping and a lifetime warranty but was three days away. For laughs I asked how much a stater for my 1988 Supra would be and was told $57.00 and it could be there in 3 hours. Now my Cressida has a "Supra Starter".
Then two days later the starter in the Supra went out and I was back again for a second $57.00 starter. Must be Murphys Law.
Anyway, the part number is 079657 16236 plus a core charge of $22.00.
