[/IMG]my supra started as a 1990 ge. i did a half na-t swap. which got me a 13.2 at the track. after that the car sat for about a year and i decided to swap the engine harnes and all the eletronics from an 1987 gte. i have deleted the egr. now i find that i have bad turbo seals and the car smokes like i am driving the car from spyhunter. most of the smokeing calms down after about 15 minuts of driving or idle.
also after my engine harness swap. i had no spark, injector pulse but it would crank. after looking under the dash i have realized that a previous owner has modified the starter curcuit for what reason i don't know. also after the ecu and engine haress swap i have no CEL at all. i think that the main efi relay is bad. and i have another relay bad somewhere. No that i can start and drive the car. after jumping the black red wire out the c1 connector that is. and for a moment after jumping the efi relay i have a cel. which has disappeared. i am attrubiting that to second bad relay. after all this i have decided to remove the 90 body harness and install the 87 body harness. Hopefully now after all this the car is ready for upgrades. i have a vpc, safc, wideband, boost guage to put in.

Today i am going to lay out the 87 body harness and check it for faults hopefully the body harness is not garbage. no i am curious about the dash harness i hope that is connects with no issues pulling the dash is never a fun project.

does anyone know if the 90 heat and ac system will connect to the 87 wiring.
well off to the garage on theis rainy day.

i will be taking pictures of the 90 na wiring while it is still in the car to compare
also when i find them i will post the pics of the harness in place from the 87 body

Is there a huge difference in the ignation switchs in the 90 na and the 87 turbo?
my guess is yes.
so far it seems that the door wiring is exaactly the same in both cars. just have to check the pins in each one.
i am hopeing that the dash harness is the same but i am guessing it is not.

if a relay buzzes or clicks rapidly while testing. is it garbage?

is there a difference in the firing order and the injector order
i have read that it is 16 34 25
but the tsrms say 14 26 35

is the painted black plug for the tems?

the blue wires connecting the to clips - my guess is something todo with the starter

the three in line connectors - i have no idea what these are for but i am having a feeling that here is my no spark or injector pulse problem.

the four pin plug was behind the cluster not hooked up to anything i am thinking stock boost gauge

so i still havent figured out why the cruise control switch has been jumped. i did find out that the inline butt connectors are the ac check connectors. the four pin connector in my hand is the stock turbo gauge wiring.
i am now going to remove the stock theft detterrant by rewiring the hood switch and grounding out the blue orange wire.

as i was defeating the factory alarm and trying to clean up the wiring from the po. i called no joy. i was completely missing the start wire from the starter relay a new had been run thru the fire wall. and jumped the clutch start switch, which is garage.
I have decided that i am going to swap over my harnesses completely now its gonna be an 87 turbo in a 90 shell. swapping the harnesses is going ok. the dash harness is a bitch to get out as well as the parts that go thru the fender wells. today i plan on pulling the wheel well plastics and strip out the rest of the old harness.

how do i wire around the clutch start switch. i am thinking about adding a push start button. can a button be run as the clutch start switch just somewhere else like an unsed option for the dash to the left of the wheel. i am thinking the coin slot with a button behdind it. or something like that. but for now i have to pull the rest on the na body harnness out and swap over to the turbo one

question. do na cars have a wire bundle running under the passenger door. cause i have a place in the pass junction box that fits the plugs but in the na car it wasnt there. hopefully i will be done with deconstruction today and have almost the whole harness in the car.
