Rear subframe?

Is the rear subframe (or cross member i think?) in an n/a mk3 different (weaker) than the subframe in a turbo supra? I believe I heard someone saying this and that when you swap a 7mgte or 1jzgte into a na car, it's good to swap out rear subframe to a stronger one (from a turbo) due to the extra power.

Thanks

I come from a land down under
Pretty sure the braces are 89+ but good news is they bolt into 89-.

I think if your Diff is bolted in correctly you shouldn't have any issues, I've ran 450+rwhp in my car for awhile now and it's an 86.5 without the braces and no sign of cracks!

If any of the rear bolts aren't tight it will break to subframe off at the diff nose mount.....

Also, the additional bracing isn't bolt in for older subframes, it's almost bolt in. You need to make a couple holes larger, and use a bolt/nut, because the nut isn't welded onto the subframe.
