today i wanted to change the fluid in my rear pumkin.curious to see what the color looks like since to previous owner did'nt take any care of the vehicle.I used a coasta synthetic sae75w-90 gear oil.the fluid color of the fluid was darker than the transmission fluid.since it was my first time doing this i checked out the new fluid and compared it to the old.big defference.the only problem that i ran into was trying to find a small plastic container that i could use to squeeze into the whole.i would like to hear from anybody who has done this before.thanks.

You don't really change that fluid in your drive way. In a shop, the container that pumps fluid has a long nozzle with a bend for reaching into a diff.

You will need to pick up some sort of hand pump with a nozzle that can reach the hole. Check auto parts stores for a kit.

Any parts store should sell a fluid pump. Its usually right by the gear oil and stuff. Its just a pump that screws into the gear oil bottle and then pumps it out, costs a few bucks and is well worth it.

They sell 2 sizes that Ive seen, the bigger size fits anti freeze size bottles.

They make one like that that has a clear vinyl tube that mounts to the end of the nozzle for even easier filling. O'reilly Auto Parts carries them if you have one of those nearby next time you need one.

And you stopped the fluid from running out how? By magic?

?
No, I put the shafts in, and cover on it first.
And just did not turn it up side down.........
When it's fully assembled,
the only opening is the vent hole on top.
