Rear Camber Adjustment Washer Bracket

I went to get an alignment the other day because its wayyy off,

They couldn't do the front or the back..

Front could not be done because the lower ball joints were shot and allowed too much play ( I bought replacements from driftmotion)

Back could not be aligned either because the lil thingy that hugs the adjustment washer is bent back as shown here :

My question:

What can I do to remedy this? Aaron from DM suggested hammering it back and welding it in the crease has anyone tried that?

Yes this has been done. Look at "Shaeff's" Rust bucket rebuild he has pics of this very thing. The pics are towards the end of the thread where the subframe are getting welded up with extra bracing etc.

on several cars i've just bent them back (no weld) and had no issues at all.
