I have shipped and received them through UPS several times with no problems. You just have to drain the fluids, and protect it to where no left behind fluid could possibly escape. Then pack the hell out of it, because the drivers will be rolling that box rather than carrying it. Or, you could do as I have done once before and build it a crate out of 1x4 and 2x4's, with rope handles. Then block it up very tight in there. They may just use the handles.
As for weight, you're looking at about 120lbs. in a box with good packing. And, you will push the 150lb limit if you build it a crate. Many people still believe in UPS's old 75lb weight limit, but it is actually 150lb.
