Quick question about shift knob.

The leather on my shift knob in my 87 7mge 5spd is starting to turn into crumbly bits :(
It looks like you can still order shift knobs for 89 and newer Supra's, but the only thing I am finding is this part number https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/3350424070c0 and it is black. I would prefer to keep it the original gray if possible.
Does anyone know if you can still get a gray one? If so, any idea what the correct part number is? As always your help is appreciated. If there is no way to get a new one, I may have to look into getting mine recovered. Any idea on what something like that would cost?

I was looking for a new gray shift knob earlier this year for my 87 also but I did not find anything. The only two options was a rewrap or buy a new one. I bought a new OEM one and just so you are aware, the shift logo is not chrome like the original as I believe this part number was from a Lexus model. If I was to do this again I would rewrap the used one in gray but I guess it does not hurt to have a extra shift knob:arcadefre

I bought one too. It's pretty big investment, but it's nice isn't it?

It's very nice and worth it imo. I really like the OEM shift knob even compared to aftermarket and a few of today's manual cars I have driven which most felt like a cheap lightweight piece of plastic.
