I am still working on my car and my old factor oil hose line, the metal hose section, and the oil cooler itself is WORN to the bones. Since I am redoing my car I figure I run new hoses, and a aftermarket oil cooler.

Why did the factory run both rubber and metal hoses? I am running new 5/16th hoses rated at 50psi all the way rubber to the oil cooler which is frieken tough as hell..

The new hose will be about the same lenth as factory maybe a foot or two shorter since I am placing it in a new spot.. No problem with the that right?

I would use hose that's rated a little more than 50 psi...your oil pump can easily exceed that. Hose in the 200-300 psi range would give you a safety margin...that's why Toyota used metal and reinforced hose to the stock cooler. The last thing you need is to pop a hose and lose your oil...not good for the motor.

If you're replacing the cooler circuit, get rid of the stock filter head, attach an adapter to the block with a NA filter stud, route to a remote filter head behind the passenger fog light, route to a 180 deg Mocal thermostat...one side of the stat (2 line) go to the cooler, the other side one line from the remote filter head...the other back to the block adapter. I would use Aeroquip push lock hose and fittings.

No matter what you do, use better hose!
