ok so i finished my head gasket rebuild and the car now has 550s in it .
so the car runs holds around 11 and 12 under throttle but hold 9.8 to 10.3 on idle and revs up and down.
so the main quest is what on maftpro did you guys have to adjust after putting 550 injectors.

ok so i found outtoday that the erson helping pluged back in the maft sensor so i unpluged it.now i get a 10.0 at criuse and idle rich then when i put the gas on harder around 1 2 psi i get 16 17.does anyone have a data sheet before and after they installed 550 injectors.

You need to be more clear on what the numbers represent. Punctuation really helps too.

in post 4 you say maft sensor like its part of the maft-pro, but the circumstance you use the phrase 'maft' in in this instance sounds like your talking about the AFM.

Lets do some math. The ECU uses 440 injectors. What percentage larger is the 550s?

Since the new injectors flow that much more, you need to scale the injection rate of the ECU that much less.
Take that percentage and apply it to the maft-pro main settings for fuel adjustment.

No two maft-pro installs are the same therefore one person's data sheet is not ideal for another's install.

ok thanks for replying dave.
could you help me tune if i log my info on this page.
and sorry the stock afm was plugged in by my helper when put the engine back together, but now it is unpluged.
last year it had a proffesional tune.
and my main scale is at -20 the same as when the 440's were in.
thanks for the help.

sorry for the bad grammer

Sorry bud, tuning is going to have to be done by you or some tech on the spot with the car.

Glad you unplugged the afm ;)
-20 is about right for your situation.

Given that the only change in the headgasket job is the larger injectors, and retaining the professional tune you had, there shouldn't need to be any additional changes really.
Going -20 on main scale should be the only thing to do unless you opened up the flow for intake or exhaust. Anything else PTT can handle, and AFR tracking should keep you safe in boost.

hey thanks for the info the only flow i changed is the turbo elbow i rid of the stocker.
I also think i have an exaust leak inbetween the elbow and my wide band sensore i assume this can screww up my readings.
also i need some links to tuning maftpro for dummies.
thanks dave
ps -20 mainscale is what the pro tuned it too

upgrading that elbow to a high flow is like adding 15hp across the board.
its up to you to watch your AFRs that you don't go lean, too much into the 12s is bad. Should be high 11s.
Any exhaust leak before the WB02 sensor is a compromise in the accuracy of the sensor's readings, and the overall reliability of your engine declines as a result of too much heat being the killer of components.

fullthrottletech.com is a great place to research on the maft-pro.
here at supramania, we have a lot of info buried in a few threads, but there is a lot to sort out.

Sounds like your golden if your mainscale is at -20
Good luck with the research
-Dave

Check for codes. Do what ever it takes to make that ecu happy, which means do what it takes to have a voltage reading around 2.5 on the Aux1 monitor setting of the maft-pro.

Do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? first take care of the codes...

well i have no codes and yes i have a fuel regulator just not installed yet, dave from driftmotion said the stock regulator should handle the 550's but i got one just incase.

i would zero out your mid and high load adjustments and the mainscale. install the fuel pressure regulator and walboro, and then fix the exhaust leak.
reset the ecu and start from scratch

start the car and get it to operating temp
start by adjusting the fuel pressure to get you vf readings (aux1 on the maftpro) as close to 2.5 as you can
once you do that, start messing with the pulling fuel from the mainscale. im running 550's on my car and only am pulling -9 from the mainscale
your afr at idle should be around 14.7

as far as the mid and high load adjustments, you have to take logs of runs and make adjustments from there. most people are pulling fuel in the mid and high loads, not adding

just remember to make adjustments slowly, then go back and take another log and readjust
