One evening when I was getting out of my car I went to lock the door using the button and the thing poped out. I found the button and it is intact including the spring and little white nipple looking thing. (Sorry if this seems vauge it is the best I can describe it.) Inside the socket that the button goes in thers is a piece of metal that looks like this --^-- .(a spring or contact mabey?) My question is; do I have everything I need to put it back together, and witch way is that little piece metal supposed to face?

umm...i dont know but i'd suggest locking your doors with the key until someone with one apart knows how it looks.

i'll look for a parts schematic and if i find one i'll post back.

lol that use to happen to my car all the time. its irritating as fuck... anyways, on both sides of the plastic(on the back) there are 2 metal spring hooks(thingy). tighten them suckers up and shouldnt pop anymore.

yours have metal? my bezel is just plastic...maybe they fell off

either way....he was referring to the switch mechanism.

i think you could just go pop it back on and see if it works...if it doesnt...you probably loast a part and then you'll have to take further steps, along with removing it again... doesnt sound like it will be to hard though, since it did come off once already.

Yeah, my main prob is how to position the little metal piece that was in the socket. I might go pull the pass. lock switch off my parts car and see what I come up with.

Ok I think I got it figured out. That little piece of metal I was talking about is a spring, it makes a contact with two contact points in the switch. In turn opening or closing a circut and locking or unlocking the door. The plastic nipple on the button sits in the dip in the spring and when you push the button front or back it moves the spring making a contact. Just thought I would share what I found out w/ you guys incase it happens to someone else. P.S. Cheers to me for making past post #300!!

Sl1dewaysSupra, yeah, you got it right.... and yes, it's builtvery much like the passenger window switch.
