Quick Harness question

I'm hooking up my battery to starter wiring and I find these two wires on the starter stud. These are off the wiring harness, Should they be going to ground? I think a friend was trying to be too helpful during engine install. Thanks for a quick reply. Eric

Those are grounds. There is a bolt on the intake runner near the starter that they attach to.

That's waht I thought, Thanks for the confirm.......My girl just texted me about some guy down in Manhattan with an Evo 8 that wants to race me once I'm back on the road.......She has no idea what she's getting me into......:nono:

and yeah, they bolt to the intake manifold, near the firewall.
