Questions about Cressidas

been thinking of purchasing one but im not sure how much of a problem they are, considering they have the good ol' 7mge...any of u guys know if they are bad...say for DD (until i can get a pick up and sell the accord) What are they're weak points, besides engine. Also, for future reference, how much power can the cressy/supra stock auto tranny hold?

i love them!! had an 85 cressida for 10 years. they are tanks. parts got hard to find for little stuff, and mine had some electrical issues (prolly from too much stereo equiptment). the trunk seals go, so if you live where it rains alot, pull the drain plugs in the lowest points of the trunk. had to retire mine due to rust. there are TONS floating around south florida. eventually i'll get another.
as for power, i'd assume the trans would hold the same as a stock auto supra, but not sure, i ran a 6mge in mine

good cars just get a supra to to use as a good parts car for it because you need to use put the clutch pedals in and what not.
