question on changing thermostat

I need to change my thermostat, is it possible to do without draining all of the coolant? also, the TSRM recommends mixing coolant and distilled water, would it be a bad idea just to run pure coolant?

Yeah just undo the two 10's, some will come out but not all. Not the best to run pure coolant, toyota red is the best. If Unsure then just use pre-mixed.

Dont run pure coolant, its not a good conductor of heat, it needs water mixed in.
