Question about the MKIII firewall

I haven't had the valve at all for a couple years and have no problems with 90+ degree FL weather. LSS the valve cracked and I didn't feel like spending the $$$ to replace it when it only operates at 65 anyways.

There is a separate control for the 'heat' function. The firewall valve only hinders the flow to the heater core when you have the climate control set to 65.

To the OP, have you checked the HVAC tubing that goes to the 'leg warmer'/door on the driver side?

I think it's just holes in the firewall that is pushing the heat through. I only get heat when I'm on the freeway going 60+. It is not an issue when I"m driving in town.
