Hi well after the dramas trying to get my car going its about that time to have another go at starting it I will quikly summarise what happened first

*motor rebuilt forgies mhg arp's proper machining ect

*was primed with oil with a remote pump then keyed over to try make oil pressure not sure how long they tried but got none

*after second opinion motor was pulled had signs of mhg not sealing oil pump was tested aparently out of spec by 40thou then pre primed (even though this was done the 1st time and have recipts

*HG not sealing was blamed on a rough looking dowel in the head

*Motor reasembled and now back in my car ready to try again

*Someone else on here had the exact same "oiling" symtoms as mine and theres was cooler lines round the wrong way this may have been the case with mine but didnt see that thread till after the motor was pulled so can not confirm

my freind who built the motor origanally recon the shop I gave it to fucked something up and blamed it on previos work to cover there ass now this time they tore down and inspected the motor and say the pump was the problem.

the issue now is the rods carnk ect was not removed the second time around so my freind is worried the moly lube might be wearing thin and wants me to wait a month or more for him to come back from aus pull the front cover ect off again and wind up the oil pump with a drill to make sure it makes pressure then reasemble and turn over.

The shop will probly just use there remote pump to prime the motor then key it over till it gets pressure

should I be worried about the moly lube??? is my main question bottom end was assenbled almost 2 years ago has tryed to be started before but didnt make pressure now "fixed" will there be enough protection left to have another go

sorry for the long post but this is weighing quite heavy on my mind a 4 year build that I really want to see running

cheers scott

I come from a land down under
Just crank it with the plugs out, this removes any load on the bearings until you see pressure, more than likely the remote lines are backwards the filter has a one way valve.

^^ they possible were wrong but they wont be this time as I will set them up myself so there shouldnt be any concern for the moly lube beeing as it was already tried before a few months ago to try again (was excited to have my car booked in but my freind has made me nervious)
