problem getting trans on

well i used a clutch alignment tool and everything, and the trans starts to go on but there is like 1" gap between the bell housing and the back of the engine and i cant get it to go any further. i can spin the engine and see the output shaft spin, i just cant get the trans to go on any further. should i use some longer bols to pull it in. i removed the shift fork to so thats not in the way. im stumpped.

crap, i wish i knew that before. on there it says to align the match marks on the clutch cover and flywheel. what do those look like. and thank you for that website

The match marks are the ones you make during disassembly. If the clutch is new, you won't have match marks.

if it doesnt hav any marks will it just go on anyway or is there still a specific way to put it on

Any way it will bolt up is fine (locating pins make it easy).
