power window question

im stuck. both my windows wont go down. i tried 2 new switches,new window relay, i tested the motor and it worked fine, i tested the wiring and i do have power going to the switch. im wondering if its the circuit breaker? has anyone else had a problem with that. i also read on the forum that i could try to ground one of the wires. if so which one? any help would be really appreciated

that thread was very helpfull but i tested my switch on another mk3 and his windows went up and down fine. so im guessing that cancels out the possibility of my switch being bad. thanks alot

Doh...you're right. For some reason, I thought that article covered a bit more than the switch.

Have you tested the wire from the switch to the motor?
Checked all fuses?
How did you test the motor?
They won't go down, will they go up?

well i kept searching on these forums and saw a post about grounding the white with black stripe wire. i did that and it worked.window goes up and down but only my driver side. i am going to try my passenger side tommrow

I blew the fuse for my gauges and my windows stopped working, It maybe another fuse in the kick panel
