I can get you a whole motor for $75 bucks lol.. How about two?

Dan, maybe you overheated it. It takes nothing but hand tools to cut the factory cooler "pipe" and install a good aftermarket bar and plate.

Also, i think the JZA70 has the same system as the SC300, dual mode steering. After 45mph, the system shuts off and goes into a bypass circuit.

i dont have any cooling pipes on my PS is that what killed it ????

Doubt it. If you ever took one apart, you'll see why they suck. They are just weak little fins that wear out, but are replaceable.

The last one i had go bad i took apart, those little fins 44345B were fuxxed. They are $12 each, and there is alot of them. Also, the housing is probably bad too

Like i said, idk if the MK3 has this.... It's a cool system it just goes by a 12v lead. I installed a switch on mine, so I can have powersteering or no powersteering at the flip of a switch.

If you have that, just put a switch on it :)

I wouldn't see why you couldn't retrofit a car that doesn't have PPS with the PPS control valve that just basically adds in bypass circuit.

i have a problem very similar to that too except that it's a very light whine and my fluids are full with no bubbles.
and i didn't notice that there's a very slow leak on the fitting that's mounted on the powersteering pump. it looks as if the single bolt keeping that fitting mounted on the pump needs a gasket or rtv glue. does anyone's pump leak in that same spot too?
