So I have decided to tackle fixing my aging PSPump leaks. I have been reading the TSRM and I have a few question for the site gurus.

Besides the Large Power Steering Pressure Union that uses two Orings, Are any of the other O-ringed seals statistically failed and leaked on pumps?

From what I have been reading it seems that either the Pressure line fitting itself leaks or the pressure union to pump fitting loosens or Orings fails over time and leaks.

Are there any other potential trouble spots on the pump? I am no stranger to working on cars but I have not much experience with a 7M and its view angles while on the ground. It seems like I have to get azz backwards under the car to see this damn leak and still it seems to only drip off the damn subframe. I really havent seen any clear pics yet. Is it easier to remove the lower IC pipe to get at this problem? I am determined to beat this one! :1zhelp: Im just trying to leverage the internet knowledge base before I freeze my azz off.

If all else fails I am prepared to rebuild the damn pump, as I have been reading up on this in the TSRM for weeks ... is the PSPump rebuild kit available for purchase here by any vendor or is it a dealer only item that I can pick up from Jeff/Champion or Curt/Elmhurst? Cost?

Things I have done thus far...

New Rebuilt PS rack
Newly soaked and cleaned PS Reservoir and lines
New Fluid flush

Drippy drippy still here.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. If the weather warms up I will tackle this in the next day or so... I just want to spend my time wisely while out in 30* weather.

Thanx!
