Power Antenna Question....

Hey all, not sure if this should be in the Audio forum or not, but I thought I'd ask

I just replaced my broken stock power antenna with an Autozone universal ('88 Turbo here) and it works fine (lol, just got through, actually!)

It goes up when the stereo is on, and down when I shut it off.

It's a KRC-508s... is there any way to have the antenna go down, if I'm on the CD-changer?

Not that I know of, you might be able to wire a switch between the antenna and the cd player to control it manually.

I think that link is for the stock setup... I'm running a Kenwood casette player + cd changer, so I don't think that'll work for me!

I have a feeling the head unit itself needs to support having the antenna up or down when listening to the stereo (this is for aftermarket head units)
