Hello all,
For those who have not read my last thread stating my starting and fuel problems let me get started by just saying that my car will run if I jump both the fuel pump and starter. But refuses to crank via the key/ignition. So after believing it could possibly be a blown ecu I replaced it with a working ecu to find out nothing was wrong with my original one. Still stumped I pulled codes for the 10th time and got a few codes pointing to not having an afm plugged in or an o2 sensor unplugged, issues that still would not hinder it from starting nor running (good) lol.. So then I boiled it down to this and here is where things become unclear, my car sat for 3 long years, but it started up the first time when I jumped both starter and pump. So, how could both the fuel pump and starter relay be the culprits? And, my headlights do not work and the light to the left of the door is ajar light remains on which is new to me. My headlights did work however about 3 months ago when I installed HID lighting to the vehicle, but ever since have ceased to function. Now the main question after all of this ramble is could it be the main relay? Does it allow the headlights to function, does it allow both starting/fuel systems (relays) to operate correctly? Logically it sure would seem that way being the main relay but I could be wrong, does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? I'm pretty stumped but am pointing my finger in this direction for the time being. And yes, I checked all of my fuses both in-car and under the hood and they all checked out...Thanks, and I apologize for the long read...:1zhelp: lol
