so tonight it was wet out and there was a empty parking which = donuts!!
like 5 mins of 5500 to 6500 rpm fun! no joke, so i let it cool down and then another one of my friends wanted to go around so another 5mins later i parked it and was letting it cool down again when we poped the hood and saw the turbo was glowing red hot. :) (just 2 give u an idea of how hard i was being on it) so i was on my way home when i saw a TON OF SMOKE behind my car. first thought BHG, but when i pulled over i saw it coming from the tranny. like a steady stream out of where the Torque Convertor is. but the car shifts fine?? so i have no clue what is going on. it only leaks when its running. any ideas??

Why would you do that with an Automatic? You're lucky it still shifts. Check your transmission cooler lines, they could be leaking on the exhaust (THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND CAUGHT MY TRANNY ON FIRE which was the cause of my whole NA-T Swap :)) Or the torque converter could be leaking or something could've broken in the Bellhousing. Overall that was pretty stupid. :3d_frown:

do a flaush asap and prey you didn't fry the clutches..

aft expands when it is heated, and it takes about 5 seconds for atf to raise 100* F while power breakind due to the shear friction inside the torque converter, at five minutes of fun i would say your tranny was hot enough to cook a steak....

wish you the best of luck.

well let's just say i hope you pushed it out your dipstick and rear seal..

if leaking from torqeue converter , may be a bad tq/. or front pump bushing, or front pump seal, possibly front pump outer o-ring, that seals the pump to the case.
