Having never owned or drove a Supra till I got mine, how much power should a N/A auto have?
In power mode it do it doesn't seam to have a lot of power off the line. It wont spin the tires but it does find lots of power at a certain rpm.
My wifes Camry V6 would surely beat it off the line.

For the first time I drove it in very light rain. From a dead stop it spun just a tad but when it got into second gear the rear end broke free untill the LS kicked in.

How does one check to see if its running at peak performance?

I have new wires (the ones on now are say 1986), plugs, cap, rotor and distributor ready to be installed.
Do I need to remove the injectors to clean them or will a good FI cleaner in the tank work?
Is there a way to tell if the injectors are working correctly?

I'm not sure what you're referring to here.

I'm not surprised that a V6 Camry could beat a N/A MKIII, it weighs a LOT less and depending on the year and model may put down as much, if not more, power than the Supra.

As for getting more power from the engine, starting with injectors and ignition is a good plan. Also check the timing (perhaps advance it a bit), clean out the oil that's probably accumulating around the spark plugs and replace the valve cover gaskets, clean out the entire intake manifold, and replace all the vacuum hoses. All of this may make the car a little more responsive, but due to the MKIII's weight the N/A won't be a beast off the line unless you either build the hell out of it, add a quick spooling turbo, or shave about 1000+lbs off of it.

Burgundy,
I like the sound of that over Maroon.

I just never liked the maroon color, don't know if its the color I didn't like or if its the name (moron)???
I had a maroon Previa and now a "BURGRUNDY" Supra, the color IS growing on me...
