Finally I have some time and money to put toward my project.
Going with option C for now, say a prayer for my 7M gonna need all the help it can get

I have too much wrapped up in my 87 MK3, owned it since may of 09
My goal was to grow with the car, learn the hypo trade, and just have fun...

Planning on ither
A: Build a 7M around 3k in just parts and machining
B: Swap a NA 2j, install a 2-3mm HG to lower compression, and run it with the 7M electronics (AEM)
C: Keep with what i got, JDM 7m lower miles, if/ when it pops build the shit outa the bottomend or hop on the jz bandwagon
Pics soon to come

550cc injectors... good enough for now
Stock Pressure Plate... aint broke, don't fix it
Stock Headgasket... not too worried on that one ither, already made 314whp on the 50trim with stock ecu on 90*F+ day

If going na-t 2j should drop gte pistons in and keep stock hg and arp studs... Been reading as im gathering parts for the swap now and with gte pistons keeps optimal squish and is less prone to knock as opposed to just swapping headgaskets..

Id rather not have 10:1 compression even tho im gonna run an aem...
definatly looking into those pistons, seen some ppl dont even bother opening up the 2jge other than the hg and studs.

whats the time line on your swap?

Doing alil backpedaling... decided to stick with the 7m for now, if it aint broke dont fix it right?

I am gonna mock up my FFIM/Q45 tb, route the 3in IC piping and slam this on the dyno before spring...
with current setup, single walboro, RC 550cc, and stock hg, im aiming for 400-450hp. basicly im gonna run about 16-18psi street and 20+psi on the track.

cars been down due to an electrical gremlin that i believe has been vanquished... long story short leaky targa seals not only pwne your interior &, rot your floor boards with cancer; They also have a way of messing up electrical connections... that being said, interior is removed and this track slut is getting caged sometime soon.

Next i decided my interior could use some attention...
who the hell @ yota thought burgundy was a good idea? i mean seriously...
p1674586_3.jpg

time to ditch the school bus style steering wheel, again yota wtf?
1.5 in nrg short hub adapter
and 350mm nrg 3 in deep dish suede with black stitch. got the hub and wheel from grimsta on here. Ace is a top notch seller and i will be doing business with him again. everything sits about exactly were the factory wheel was, but looks and feels 100x better.

p1674586_5.jpg

quality is remarkable for what i paid. hub is billet and power coated, wheel is stitched up uniformly and even... couldn´t ask for more keep up the good work nrg!!!

next on the list it some good old fashioned bro tuning... the injector tables were all set and dialled in on 550cc now its running on 1000cc note the wideband shot in that last picture. the tune needs reworked before i can cruse around past just moving the car in and out of the shop.

there is still so much to do on this project its not even funny!
in the not so distant future id like to fit the ffim and fab up the new ic and charge piping, also was hoping to delete the abs and in its place mount my nrg catch can in its place...

been wasting alot of time grinding down the welds and im kicking myself for not taking a before shot but heres my progress. scotch brite it amazing, but those scotch brite pneumatic grinder cookies are FTFTW!!!

and heres a quiz... other than the tps, what is all missing on this q45?
