A tip for someone at your level. Next time verfy your hypothesis before investing in a repair/new parts. You could have measured the CB or jumpered it. Used a fused jumper thrown together to be safe or just gone for broke with a wire. I've been dealing with electricity so long it's practically intuitive but I still do this on occasion and with complex problems I'll verify in more than one way.

That said a quick look at the drawing shows the power CB in JB1 can't possibly have anything to do with your symptom. See, if your car was overheating, stumbling, or had just about any other problem it'd be a crap shoot for someone to diagnose it from afar. Electrical problems are different. They're unique because a glance at the schematic can clearly show where the problem likely is....or isn't. In fact there is no other class of problem where the resolution is so plainly spelled out than electrical issues. Which makes it ironic people have so much trouble with them...

I'm not disagreeing with your statement, I replaced my CB because it would not reset, period. Although this hasn't resolved the problem, working with a defective CB isn't going to help the situation any either. So if I find a defective component, I do what I can to replace it. I did test the connections with a wire, did not change the situation so I already had a feeling there is more going on than a defective CB. I have a few more idea's in mind, not many though. Tomorrow I'm going to continue sanding the body some more to take my mind off of this issue for a day or two. Mostly likely saturday I'll try my idea's out and see what else i can come up with by then.

Well, good luck with it. Fwiw electrical troubleshooting is a straight forward process of signal tracing, using the schematic, until the problem is found. That's what makes it unique compared to other problems ie; there really aren't any ideas or trying things out involved. It's following a map.
