open (non-lsd) diff question

don't know if anyone will be able to answer this or not, but here goes:

I've got my old 4.3 diff laying around, I've been thinking of putting it back in while I replace the shaft seals in my Torsen, but it makes an odd noise. When the output shafts are turned in opposing directions, there is a very audible gear noise sound, seemingly from the spider gears. It's not a grinding sound, more like you can just hear the gear teeth in the spiders as they mesh with each other. My question is - is this normal for a non-lsd diff? Or is it shot? It's got ~142k on it.

Weld it...... then fix your other one while you go sideways everywhere!

You can replace the shaft seals on your diff without removing the diff.

yae tell low speed coner but it does go side ways very easy heheheh i had it in my 350 rx7 fun stuff
