I am Considering hanging up the keys for awhile and buckling down Educationally. I have worked in IT for about 8 years now everything from Tech Support to Network Operations. I am wanting to get passed these low end jobs and get a Career going. I am looking at Network Security, Programming (web based Java, SQL, and PHP), or General Network Admin. I am looking for some advice from anyone who has earned a degree online. I am looking at Devry, ITT, Westwood, or who did you go through. I graduated in 98 and was married in 99 I now have two kids and find that I am just outside the door for some really killer jobs but I can't open the next door with out a degree. I would also be looking for info on Tuition Aid as i only make about 28K a year so its hard to imagine paying for school. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am in the Accounting industry and we don't really like the on-line degrees. Maybe its different in the computer industry.

About tuition, the Federal government has a great student loan program. Go to your local college and ask for the financial aid department. My wife and I owe about $15,000 in education loans, but at 3% interest its a bargain. Further, we have been out of school for just 4 years and combined we make over $100,000 a year, so I think its a great investment.

Get back to school and get a degree somehow.
