(Dumb question ahead) I read the sticky about curing the oil issues, I was wondering if can just install an upgraded oil pump and change the pipe to a hose will this be enough so that it will cure the issue?

Stock pipe is fine. IJ. Ran his at 8k+ at 500hp+ and never had an issue with oiling.
If you upgraded the pump with one that will be shimmed the oil cooler relief valve needs to be shimmed as well.
