oil pump question

Okay so I have 2 oil pumps here, 1 that came with the bundle of motor parts I had purchased and the other I received before this which was a "low mile" one. Question I have is when I rotate the gear at the bottom one pump is free and easy to move the other is a bit tougher but both make the suction sound while rotating. Which would be better to use?

Open them up, check the gear to gear clearance, the gear to cover clearance, and the gear to body clearance, as per the TSRM.

Also- Make sure the one you use(if it's within spec) is the GTE model. It'll have 37mm length gears, IIRC.
