Guys, I was at NAPA ordering a bunch of parts for my planned swap and when I told the clerk I needed a oil pressure sending unit he and the other employee were kind of confused. The other guy assumed that I was talking about an oil pressure switch after they searched thier computer and couldn't find a sending unit listed. Are these two things the same, or do I need to go elsewhere for future parts purchases?

Thanks

I ordered my oil pressure sending unit from NAPA.

Edit: Just checked the webpage, I guess they call it a switch. Could've sworn it was actually called "Sending unit" when I bought it. But yeah, it would seem they're the same

i hear many people call a sending unit a oil pressure switch just cause its what they are used to. it is a pressure sender and not a switch.
