i just got my motor put back together and was driving it around today. i installed a remanned oil pump and even opened it to check clearance specs per tsrm but for some reason, it shows low oil pressure. when i start the car, it goes to the second line then after its warmed up it likes to just hover over the first one. when im cruising around 35mph its around the second mark (20) but as soon as i let it idle, the needle slowly falls down. i know you guys are going to tell me to check it with a mechanical oil pressure tester, but i dont have one at the moment.....is it possible to have the sender fail or have bad gauges?

On a stock motor, oil pressue is 4.3 psi at idle and 36-71 psi at 3000 RPM.

Yours looks pretty normal. ;)

But, you're correct...to be sure you need a mechanical gauge hooked up at the sending port.
