I have a question about both, Whats normal oil pressure in an 89 Supra Turbo, at idle? at Cruising speed?

And Compressor surge. I have it in my supra and how do I fix it? The car has an Aftermarket Blitz BOV

I've had quite a few friends have surge, and every time it ends up being the line to the bov.

make sure its a BIG hose, not some tiny one thats being crammed on there, and try to make sure its a dedicated line just for the BOV.

shimmed (5mm) pump oil readings:
cold - 40-60psi (depends on temp)
hot - 10psi (on a fresh start)
normal driving - 20-40psi most of the time

i've never watched my oil pressure when im racing or driving fast, so i dont know about that, but, if you start your car, see where the oil pressure is at, and then you watch the car warm up, you can see the pressure drop as it gets warmer.

Stock gauge
1/2 way between the first mark and 0 at idle warm,
it reaches 40 psi by 2200-2400 rpms and stays about there

5w-30 oil.

k mine has abuot 100k miles and it idles at around 25-30 warm
and 40 driving

And the line to the BOV is about the thickness of a pencil.

i wouldn't worry about you oil then,

where are you getting vacum for the bov and if you pull it off when idling is it getting vacum?
