oil leaking...which seal do u think it is??

okay i have an 87 mk3 supra....
just bought it and im working on it....
well i know its leaking from the side where all the pullies are....especially the one with the fan on it....wats the name of the seal???
and how hard is it to fix it myself and wat tools will i need??

Take the cam gear cover off and look behind the gears at the cam seals. Otherwise, there's the oil pump drive shaft seal and the main seal for the crank...both are behind the lower cover.

For sure way is pulling the motor. Can be done without pulling it but hard to do on your back. Motor has to be taken loose of the mounts and raised enought to clear the pick-up tube on the oil pump.

Clean everything thoroughly(brakekleen works good), and get some dye to put in the oil(any autoparts will have engine oil dye). Do your normal driving, and check to see where the leak is. The dye is usually a nice florescent green, and will leave a nice trail.
