oil change

well im in the middle of changing my oil and once i got it into the air i noticed what appeared to a large oil leak....but after further investigation i see no point for the leak to come from.....actually its kinda wierd only my lower hoses and pipes were sprayed with oil...also my oil filter had oil dripping from it....

has anyone ever had problems with there K&N filter leaking...i used K&N filter HP-1002....the gasket as no cracks no dings to the filter itself

Check to make sure an old filter gasket didn't get stuck on there. Accidently doubling them up will cause a good leak for sure.

And make sure the sealing surface is clean.

sealing surface is clean, coat it with oil, and make sure they isn't an old gasket from some person not coating it in oil

might have just been loose...
