noticed few people have crank pulleys being loose

i see that many people have crank pulleys being a little loose how can i check mine, is it just grabbing it by hand and wiggiling or is it more then that

i was gona bring it to a shop just to have it checked because so many have had this happen i think

if you can get a torque wrench, put the 19in socket on the torque wrench and adjust to the proper torque spec.

try to tighten the pulley bolt, if it clicks with out much effort, then the bolt is tight

if you have to lock down the wheel(brake lever up) and put it in gear, just to tighten the bolt it is loose.

simple solution: take a 3 foot pipe and put it on the end of your socket and drive. pull that son of a B from the left to right side of car until its tight. toyota rates that bolt at @ 191 ft-lbs.
