Yes, its me again....haven't been around my car or anything to do with supras for the past year but I am getting this darn car back on the road before the drags start up again. Long story short, my 7mgte engine harness burned up near the alternator along with the alternator itself, a few hoses and random junk got burnt and replaced with new parts. I still do not have any power to any part of my car after replacing all that what was burnt and damaged. What could this be? main fuse? a ground? I don't know what other additional information could be useful, but i imagine this blunt description enough to start somewhere. Thanks guys and gals for any responses.

Thank you, that has definitely been an area of the car i have been pondering about. One thing I could have, and do think i did wrong was wire the alternator incorrectly, because it did burn, both connections. This would cut out all power to my car? Whether it does or not, the connection on the back of the alt has three wires and i do not know which one should be placed in which of the three slots at the back of connection. It's been so long and I'm not quite an expert with electrical yet as I still only have first year training in auto electrical, basically not as much as i would like to know at the moment :icon_bigg Again, any more info would be amazing. Thanks.

well the thing that happend with me was very odd. all wires were there and nothing burned. the give away to the problem was when i went to disconnect the terminal the ALT wire looked very flimsy.

turned out the wire burned in half without burning the the rubber sleeve, so no power.
if i were you i would replace the wiring with a proper guage wire since you noted that the wiring was all jacked up. its also good insurance for the future.
