NEWBIE quick questions

Hey does anyone know if i should buy a supra 7mgte, or do you think it would be better to buy a 7mge supra and then add a turbo?

the reason im asking is because i heard that the turbo wears out the engine after a while

HEY i finally bought a SUPRA, 1989 Targa Turbo WOOHOO but its an automatic. It runs great the only problem when i got it was when i changed the oil it was thick and black and not too much in it(2.5 quarts), and the coolant they used was actually only water so it overheated. But with new coolant and oil it runs great. The engine light is always on though(unplugged ire me thinks), and the brake lights don't work i guess you can't win them all but it was a good price only 2000. And if you have any answers to my problems HELP!!! haha

Oh can any one tell me how to remove the air filter i can't seem it get it out, i want to replace it with a new one Thanks for the HELP!!!

HAHA totally they should make a book on mkiiis and not just how to fix the head gasket but how to rebuild the 7mgte engine entirely, i would totally buy that.

Turbo engines are stressed more than NA engines, so maintenance is KEY once you boost. If you neglect your Supra...it will show you who runs the relationship.

Edit: Search Search SEARCH the forum :biglaugh: . You will find that most any problem you run into, it's already been asked an answered a few times and you will most likely get an answer faster than waiting for someone to reply. Also, the more knowledge of your problem you show, the more likely you'll probably be to get a response.

Saying "Tell me how to remove my intake" will most likely get you no responses

Saying "I removed all of the intake piping except for the AFM, the bracket seems to be stuck. Any help/ideas" will give you better luck.
